Bluetooth Explorer from Apple Developer Tools

Bluetooth devices contain a significant mount of information if you know how to gather it. Apple has included a great application with their free Developer Tools called Bluetooth Explorer. Once you have installed Developer Tools, the application should be located at:

/Developer/Applications/Utilities/Bluetooth/Bluetooth Explorer

With this utility, you can gather information on paired devices. Here is a look at my paired Mighty Mouse as an example.

Bluetooth Explorer Device List Window

The above window is a list of all paired device available at the time of launch. You can Search again, or Get Device Info on one of the devices listed. We will get information on the Mighty Mouse.

As you can see, this really gets down deep into the device. If you are looking to tie a device to a Mac in very clear terms, this may be your application.
